Greetings Evergreen Families,

I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself as the new Principal of Evergreen Elementary School. It is an honor to serve this diverse community of learners and lead the talented faculty and staff of Evergreen.

I am a proud alumnus of the Plainfield Public Schools district and I am grateful for the opportunity to return to my beloved district as a Principal. My educational journey as a Social Studies Teacher, Department Chair, Vice Principal, Principal has been filled with immense personal and professional satisfaction. Having had these experiences have enabled me to develop a deep understanding of teaching and learning as well as address the diverse needs of students and their families. Along with the staff, Vice Principal and parents, I will work hard to sustain the expectation of success and community established at Evergreen Elementary School by building
strong relationships with parents, students, staff, and community partners. Together we will focus on the use of data to inform instruction, student leadership to enrich academics, and social-emotional growth to take care of the whole child. We will provide exciting and challenging enrichment opportunities focused on assuring the rigor of instruction in meeting the New Jersey Student Learning Standards. Together, our students will grow!

I believe in the transformative power of education and the opportunities that result from it. I call upon my own personal experiences and educational journey to motivate, inspire, and move our students towards achieving their personal and academic goals. I stand on the shoulders of my immigrant family who have made Plainfield their home for generations and will continue to call Plainfield home!

During the course of the year, it is my hope that we will work together to provide students with the best opportunities in preparing them for the real world with the skills necessary to master the challenges placed in their path. Our students are our number one priority and ensuring their continued wellbeing is a community effort. I call upon your support and collaboration to ensure our students are “Kind, Respectful, Evergreen Leaders who soar to new heights.”
