Greetings Evergreen Families,

I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself as the new Principal of Evergreen Elementary School. It is an honor to serve this diverse community of learners and lead the talented faculty and staff of Evergreen.

I am a proud alumnus of the Plainfield Public Schools district and I am grateful for the opportunity to return to my beloved district as a Principal. My educational journey as a Social Studies Teacher, Department Chair, Vice Principal, Principal has been filled with immense personal and professional satisfaction. Having had these experiences have enabled me to develop a deep understanding of teaching and learning as well as address the diverse needs of students and their families. Along with the staff, Vice Principal and parents, I will work hard to sustain the expectation of success and community established at Evergreen Elementary School by building
strong relationships with parents, students, staff, and community partners. Together we will focus on the use of data to inform instruction, student leadership to enrich academics, and social-emotional growth to take care of the whole child. We will provide exciting and challenging enrichment opportunities focused on assuring the rigor of instruction in meeting the New Jersey Student Learning Standards. Together, our students will grow!

I believe in the transformative power of education and the opportunities that result from it. I call upon my own personal experiences and educational journey to motivate, inspire, and move our students towards achieving their personal and academic goals. I stand on the shoulders of my immigrant family who have made Plainfield their home for generations and will continue to call Plainfield home!

During the course of the year, it is my hope that we will work together to provide students with the best opportunities in preparing them for the real world with the skills necessary to master the challenges placed in their path. Our students are our number one priority and ensuring their continued wellbeing is a community effort. I call upon your support and collaboration to ensure our students are “Kind, Respectful, Evergreen Leaders who soar to new heights.”

Saludos Familias de Evergreen,

Me gustaría aprovechar esta oportunidad para presentarme como el nuevo Director de la Escuela Primaria Evergreen. Es un honor servir a esta diversa comunidad de estudiantes y liderar a la talentosa facultad y al personal Evergreen.

Soy un orgulloso alumno del distrito de las Escuelas Públicas de Plainfield y estoy agradecido por la oportunidad de regresar a mi amado distrito como director. Mi trayectoria educativa como profesor de estudios sociales, director de departamento, subdirector y director ha estado llena de una inmensa satisfacción personal y profesional. Haber tenido estas experiencias me ha permitido desarrollar una comprensión profunda de la enseñanza y el aprendizaje, así como abordar las diversas necesidades de los estudiantes y sus familias. Junto con el personal, la subdirectora y los padres, trabajaré arduamente para mantener la expectativa de éxito y la comunidad establecida en la Escuela Primaria Evergreen mediante la creación de relaciones sólidas con los padres, los estudiantes, el personal y los socios de la comunidad. Juntos nos enfocaremos en el uso de datos para informar la instrucción, el liderazgo estudiantil para enriquecer lo académico y el crecimiento socioemocional para cuidar al niño/a en su totalidad. Brindaremos oportunidades de enriquecimiento emocionantes y desafiantes enfocadas en asegurar el rigor de la instrucción para cumplir con los Estándares de Aprendizaje Estudiantil de Nueva Jersey. ¡Juntos, nuestros estudiantes crecerán!

Creo en el poder transformador de la educación y las oportunidades que se derivan de ella. Hago un llamado a mis propias experiencias personales y trayectoria educativa para motivar, inspirar y mover a nuestros estudiantes hacia el logro de sus metas personales y académicas. ¡Me apoyo en los hombros de mi familia inmigrante que ha hecho de Plainfield su hogar durante generaciones y continuará llamando hogar a Plainfield!

Durante el transcurso del año, espero que trabajemos juntos para brindarles a los estudiantes las mejores oportunidades para prepararlos para el mundo real con las habilidades necesarias para dominar los desafíos que se les presenten en su camino. Nuestros estudiantes son nuestra prioridad número uno y garantizar su bienestar continuo es un esfuerzo comunitario. Hago un llamado a su apoyo y colaboración para garantizar que nuestros estudiantes sean "Líderes de Evergreen amables, respetuosos y que se eleven a nuevas alturas".
